Hyderabad: A 35-year-old international passenger who arrived at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Wednesday here tested positive for Covid-19 after undergoing an RT-PCR test right at the airport. The female passenger traveled from the United Kingdom, which was listed as a “Country at Risk.”
The passenger was admitted to the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) and samples were collected and sent for genetic sequencing. Officials said she had no symptoms and that her health was being closely monitored.
According to officials, the woman came from Rangareddy district and was on a visit to the UK from Hyderabad. Although her close relatives have been tested negative, their health is also being monitored.
