A Redmi 9T video appears confirming that the device is a rebranded POCO M3

Lately, Xiaomi has often rebranded Redmi smartphones as POCO phones in other markets. The reverse seems to be the case with the POCO M3, which has been proposed to be launched as the Redmi 9T in some markets. A YouTuber has now shared a video with Redmi 9T confirming that the device will be a rebranded POCO M3. The video even shows the M3 being manipulated side by side with the Redmi 9T.

YouTube video posted by Podcast Mobile Tech has been removed, but you can still check it. It turns out that the Redmi 9T has an essential difference from the Poco M3, which is the rear camera configuration. While the Poco M3 has three rear cameras, the 9T has four configuration cameras. The fourth lens is an ultra-wide 8MP lens, in addition to the 48MP primary wide-angle lens, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro lens.

The display and other configurations are probably the same. It includes a 6.53-inch Full HD + IPS display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. There is a water drop-style notch on the screen, which houses an 8MP selfie camera. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB / 128 GB of expandable storage space. The device will also pack a large 6,000 mAh battery.

It is not yet known when the device will be launched, but the device was recently certified in Thailand. Xiaomi Malaysia also recently set up a contest that ends on January 7, 2021, which will see 10 lucky fans go home with a unit of a device suspected to be Redmi 9T. Thus, we believe that the device will be launched quite soon.
