Android 11 launches on the Xiaomi Mi A3 and the brick phones on the left and right

Usually, whenever we talk about new software updates, especially major ones, we advise you to install them as soon as possible, in order to get all the new features and security fixes. Sometimes, however, launches are broken, and updates do bad things to phones. This is exactly what seems to be happening with the Xiaomi Mi A3.

The update to Android 11 has started to be released for this Android One device, but there have been a lot of reports from users saying that the update practically makes their phones completely useless after installation – this is also known as bricking.

So this time, if you have a Mi A3 and receive the update notification, I would say you should probably give up the installation. You may be lucky or you may destroy your New Year. This is not a fun choice.

We hope that Xiaomi quickly becomes the situation and pulls the offensive update, fixes any problem made of brick A3 devices and then releases it again. Although given the company’s terrible experience with updates for Android One devices, we wouldn’t hold our breath thinking that this will happen soon.
