India and Australia are preparing for the opening test of the four-match series that starts on Thursday in Adelaide. While India has some selection headaches, Australia’s hosts have been hit by injuries. However, the Australians received a massive boost a few days ago, when it was announced that the spearhead of the rhythm, Mitchell Starc, would join the Australian camp and will fight to play the first test. On Tuesday, Cricket Australia posted on Twitter a video of Starc steaming in the bowl during a training session, and right on the first ball to Marnus Labuschagne, the fast left bowler sent a fire bouncer, against which the handkerchief had to take evasive action. .

Starc has watched the One-Day International (ODI) series against India countless times and missed the last two Twenty20 International (T20I) games after an unspecified family illness.
On Sunday, it was revealed that Starc will rejoin the Australian team on Monday, after his compassionate leave.
While Starc’s return is a huge boost for Australians, the hosts have some important decisions to make for the opening test.
Australia will have to cope without star opener David Warner, who suffered a groin rupture. Probably his replacement, the young Will Pucovski, was ruled out with a contusion after being hit on the helmet by a bouncer in a tournament match last week.
And Sean Abbott was ruled out due to a calf strain with Moises Henriques called up as a replacement. There are also uncertainties about the availability of the young Cameron Green, who also suffered a contusion after being hit in the head by the powerful direct path of Jasprit Bumrah.
