Meanwhile, BSNL has made a big announcement, which has created a wave of happiness among the customers. BSNL has said that it will launch 4G across the country by September 2022. This is what BSNL has said in Parliament. BSNL is expected to make a profit of up to Rs 900 crore from its 4G service.
BSNL 4G service will not be less than a challenge for private companies. Replying to a question on BSNL’s 4G rollout, the Minister of State for Telecommunications said that BSNL has set September 2022 as the deadline for the rollout of its 4G services, according to a PTI report. He further said that BSNL would get around Rs 900 crore in revenue in the first year before launching 4G services across the country.
A few days ago, BSNL had received permission from the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) for 4G upgrades, but parts of Nokia for 4G were declared unsafe by the government and were denied. The government wants BSNL to use fully made in India parts.
Consumer resentment against private companies is being seen on social media, but whether it is really in support of BSNL will be known only after the launch of BSNL’s Forge service across the country.
