CBSE Board examinations May 4 – June 10, results on July 15

Several schools have already organized online pre-board exams to keep students ready.

New Delhi:

The final 10th and 12th grade exams for schools affiliated to the Central Council of Secondary Education (CBSE) will take place from May 4th to June 10th, and the results will be announced on July 15th, Education Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank announced on Thursday .

“The exams for grades 10 and 12 will be organized between May 4 and June 10. Schools will have the right to take practical exams starting March 1. The data sheet for both classes will be published soon. The results will be announced by July 15, “Mr Pokhriyal said.

The three-month delay due to the coronavirus pandemic has raised concerns about the impact on college admissions, especially for those intending to study abroad.

The practical tests usually take place in January, and the theoretical exams start in February and end in March.

Mr Nishank last week ruled out conducting commission examinations until February, given the situation of COVID-19.

Without any clarity on the board exam dates, several schools have already conducted online pre-board exams to keep students ready.

The CBSE announced earlier this month that on-board examinations in 2021 will be conducted in writing and not online.

Schools across the country were closed in March to limit the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. They have been partially reopened in some states since October 15.

However, several states have decided to keep them closed, given the growing number of infections.

This year’s board exams had to be postponed halfway through March. They were subsequently canceled and the results were announced on the basis of an alternative evaluation scheme.
