Under this, people above 18 years of age will have to be vaccinated. According to the latest information, citizens who want to be vaccinated at this stage can register on the Covin app from Saturday. Currently, people over the age of 45 are being vaccinated in the country.

On Monday, the central government announced the introduction of a new vaccine. Under this, people above the age of 18 were allowed to be vaccinated from May 1. In particular, there was a growing demand for vaccinating young people against the growing incidence of the corona virus. Apart from this, the name of the country also mentioned that the youth were vaccinated.

RS Sharma, chief executive officer of the National Health Authority, said on Thursday that vaccination registration for people over the age of 18 would start within 48 hours, India Today reported. They have reported that in addition to Kovacin and Kovishilt, some centers will also have the option of Russian vaccine Sputnik 5. He informed that more centers and private places are being set up to speed up the vaccination process. Sharma said private companies have been asked to publish a vaccine timetable on the Covin app.

Status of vaccination program in the country

According to government data, a total of 13 crore 23 lakh 30 thousand 644 vaccine doses have been administered in the country till 7 am on Thursday. In the last 24 hours, 22 lakh 11 thousand 334 people have been vaccinated in the country. Besides, 11 crore 31 lakh 47 thousand 596 citizens have received the first dose of vaccine. However, the number of IPs taking the second dose is 1 crore 91 lakh 83 thousand 48. In terms of statistics, Maharashtra is at the forefront of vaccination. The first or second dose of the vaccine has been given to 1 crore 32 lakh 79 thousand 970 people in the state.
