Indian wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul made his Test debut in 2014 and has since quickly become one of the most beloved crickets. On Tuesday, he thanked his supporters after reaching five million followers on the micro-blogging site Twitter. “Your support has made this journey special. Through highs and lows, always together,” Rahul, who is currently in Australia ahead of the India Down Under test series, wrote on Twitter. “Thank you and grateful for all your love. # 5 million followers “, he wrote.


Since his Down Under debut, Rahul has played 36 tests, 35 ODI and 45 T20 internationals.

The right-handed handkerchief has become a prolific run-getter for India, especially in overs overs formats.

Rahul scored 1332 races in ODI at an average of 45.93 with four centuries and 1542 races in T20I with an average of 44.05 with two hundred.

Rahul’s consistent performance named him vice-captain for India’s limited tour of their ongoing tour in Australia, with regular vice-captain Rohit Sharma absent due to fitness issues.

Rahul has also taken over the Kings XI Punjab captain for the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) season.


Rahul also had a prolific season in the IPL, finishing as the best scorer, even if his team failed to reach the knockout stages.

Rahul is currently preparing for the series of four tests in India against Australia.
