Earlier, on December 1, 2020, the rates for LPG gas cylinders were increased. The price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder (price of commercial gas cylinder) was increased to Rs. However, in October and November, HPCL, BPCL, IOC did not change the price of LPG cylinders. Normally, oil companies change the price of LPG on the first day of every month, but this time something different happened. On December 1, the IOC said there was no increase in the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders. In Delhi, the price has been fixed at Rs 594 for the seventh consecutive month. But days later, on the Indian Oil website, the price of a 1.2.2 kg unsubsidised LPG cylinder increased by Rs 0 to Rs 4,644 in Delhi.

According to Indian Oil’s website, on December 1, 1.2.2 kg of unsubsidised LPG in four metros was priced at Rs 4 in Delhi, Rs 2,020.50 in Kolkata, Rs 4 in Mumbai and Rs 1,010 in Chennai. On December 9, 14.2 kg of unsubsidised LPG was priced at Rs 644 in Delhi, Rs 670.50 in Kolkata, Rs 644 in Mumbai and Rs 660 in Chennai.
