Maruti Suzuki, the country’s most popular automobile company, may soon return to the market with a diesel engine. Earlier, the company was studying the demand for diesel engine vehicles in the Indian market.
The diesel engine was shut down after the BS6 implementation
After the BS6 norm was introduced in April 2020, the company decided to stop using diesel engines and use only petrol and CNG motors. Now the company may change its decision soon.
How long will the diesel engine return
According to the report, the company will soon return to the Indian market with a diesel engine, but no definite date has been announced by the company. It is believed that the company may bring the diesel engine again next year i.e. in 2021.
The diesel engine will be used in these models
The company will launch Maruti Vitara Brezza and Ertiga MPV in 2021. The company can bring both the models with diesel engines. Both are one of the company’s most popular vehicles.
Maruti in preparation of new SUV
Maruti Suzuki is set to expand its range of Nexa products. For this, the company will soon launch some of its new models. It will be a mid-size SUV and a premium 7-seater MPV. Maruti’s new compact SUV will be based on Toyota’s Rise SUV. In India, the car will compete with Kia Celtos and Hyundai Creta. The company’s new C segment MPV will be based on the Toyota B560.
