Manchester United have reported a move for Norwich City right-back Max Aarons, reports The Mail.
Although Brandon Williams has more chances to compete with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Aarons is a talented and tempting option for United.
Just look at his latest performance for Norwich against QPR to see what he could bring to United.
Aarons created five chances in 90 minutes for Norwich in an impressive display of attack. Only Emi Buendia (6) made several key passes.
The 20-year-old right-back did this while completing 88% of his passes. Defender did the right thing, with one attack and two interceptions.
Aarons is not as polished defensively as Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but this is the compromise you make for an improved attack.
Wan-Bissaka has worked hard to create chances this season. Attacks frequently break down when he receives the ball in the third attack.
Of course, it’s not his fault. United’s lack of right wing increases the demand for the position of right defender to be a contributor to attack as well as defense.
Until the wing position is sorted, then United needs a right defender able to offer something more. Aarons has a lot to prove and is only 20. It’s easy to see why the Norwich defender has returned to the club’s radar.
