Ms Dhoni’s parents: Covid-19 situation in MS Dhoni family under control, says CSK coach Stephen Fleming | Off-field news

MUMBAI: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) coach Stephen Fleming said the franchise will “monitor” the condition of Commander Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s parents, who are being treated at a private hospital in Ranchi after testing positive for Covid-19.
At the post-match press conference after CSK’s victory over Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday night, Fleming said the situation was “under control”.
“From a management perspective, we are aware of his family’s situation and support has been created for MS and his family. The situation is under control for the time being, but we will monitor this in the next few days,” Fleming said.

The parents of the former commander of India, mother Devika Devi and father Pan Singh, were hospitalized on Wednesday after giving positive results for the highly contagious virus.
The New Zealander said he had talked to his boss about it and that they had made an arrangement for his family.
“It is a difficult time for everyone and the fact that it affects India as it is, but it will also end up in IPL with friends and family and hopefully not in the bubbles. I spent quite a bit of time talking about caring for friends and family in the larger group.
“We have this responsibility to make sure he has the support he needs and to hope that his family will recover quickly,” Fleming added.
