According to the prolific Digital Chat Station tipster, Qualcomm will launch Snapdragon 888+ in the second half of next year. He also revealed why Qualcomm blocked the chipset’s GPU frequency to 840 MHz. He says it’s to prevent OEMs from secretly overclocking the chip on their devices.

Being the latest product in the Snapdragon 8 series, Snapdragon 888 integrates the Qualcomm third generation 5G modem and the radio frequency system – Snapdragon X60. The SD X60 modem supports all major millimeter-wave and Sub-6GHz global frequency bands, as well as 5G carrier aggregation, global multi-SIM card functions, Independent (SA) and non-independent (NSA) network modes, and dynamic data sharing. spectrum (DSS)).
