Former India fast bowler S. Sreesanth is close to returning to competitive cricket after many days. He is one of the 26 players from Kerala for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20.

Sreesanth was banned by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (Match Fixing) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Sanju Samson, Sachin Baby, Jalaj Saxena, Robin Uthappa and Basil Thampi are the other veterans in Kerala’s list of potential players announced on Tuesday.

Sreesanth’s ban expired in September this year. According to sources, they will participate in the team camp from December 20 to 30. Earlier, he was selected in a team for the T20 series organized by the Kerala Cricket Association.
