States partially reopening schools on January 1 – India News

Several states have decided to reopen schools on the first day of the new year 2021, as restrictions are eased as the number of Covid-19 cases decreases, although concerns about the new strain in the UK remain. Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim have already partially reopened the courses.

Here are the states that reopen tomorrow’s schools.


Schools in Kerala have remained closed since the coronavirus blockade was imposed in March, and will partially reopen on January 1. Courses for standards 10 and 12 will start with limited hours and a limited number of students. Kerala has been the outbreak of Covid-19 infection and the number of daily cases in the state is still the highest.


Karnataka schools will also reopen from January 1 for students in grades 6-12. The government also planned to hold regular courses for the January 15 PU-I year and start the Vidyagama program for students in grades six through nine in government schools.


All schools and other educational institutions from elementary to university will be reopened on January 1. Assam has begun reopening schools in a staggered manner since September.

Many other states will reopen schools in January. The schools in Puducherry, Pune, Bihar will partially reopen on January 4.
