The Microsoft Surface Duo update brings application improvements, bug fixes

Microsoft Surface Duo has just received an update that brings bug fixes and application optimizations, as well as improvements, as seen in an update on Google Play. The Microsoft Launcher update is now released for Android users and brings improvements such as opening the flow page in the landscape and at the same time with another application, screen support, as well as searching for keywords in Office applications. Surface Duo is Microsoft’s first dual-screen Android smartphone and comes with a 360-degree hinge with two separate OLED displays.

According to the Microsoft Launcher change log on the Google Play Store, (first discovered by XDA-Developers) the update comes with firmware version 6.2.201102.92686. It is now released for Surface Duo in the US and brings optimizations and bug fixes, shared by the report.

The update brings improvements to the opening of the flow page in the landscape and at the same time with another application on the Surface Duo. Also get a one-screen overview and support for screen time on your Microsoft foldable device. There are improvements in the application group creation flow through the context menu, as well as in the space and consistency of the icons in the application drawer. Users can now search for keywords in Office applications on their device.

In addition, there are bug fixes in the app drawer, the size of the app icon, and the gesture to drag the folder up. Earlier this month, Microsoft announced that it would make the Surface Duo available outside the United States. The company’s foldable Android phone will be available in Canada, the UK, France and Germany in early 2021.
