The new Google Pay for the US was launched almost a month ago in early access and now receives a simple and dark theme on Android.
Upon launch, the new interconnected service logo is briefly displayed on a bright background before turning gray depending on the system theme. There is no in-app switching to set independently.
The dark mode applies to the main sheet and the bottom bar. The latter component sees a lighter blue color for the icon and text of the current section. Compared to the sheet above, a darker shade of gray is also used to ensure better visual separation.
Unchanged is the blue top section that displays the cover and other usage requirements. The dark theme expands to settings after you reach your profile picture and search experience.
Version 119.1.4 of the new Google Pay brings the theme dark and is taking place this morning through the Play Store.
