Yesterday, Vivo officially teased the Vivo X60 series smartphones. The teaser shows that these devices will come with an ultra-stable micro-panel, Zeiss optical lens and, of course, Samsung Exynos 1080 SoC. According to Vivo, the camera lens is a joint effort of Vivo and Zeiss. The ultra-stable micro-panel improves the night vision of black light. In addition, this smartphone is the first device to use the Exynos 1080 SoC. Now, the first set of real images of these smartphones are currently online. From the images, this series will have gradient color options, black and light yellow. The body uses a special AG glass material, which feels good in the hand.
We can clearly see the premium aspect of this device. Unfortunately, the images only show us the rear view of this smartphone. The packaging box is a regular black and flat box, which shows the thinness of this device. According to speculations, the Vivo X60 will be only 7.3 mm thin, which will make it the thinnest 5G smartphone globally, surpassing the iPhone 12 mini, which is 7.4 mm thin.
The Vivo X60 series will also run on the latest OriginOS UI interface, with a perforated center screen. In the back, we can see the 5-axis VIS anti-shake design. It is worth mentioning that the Vivo X60 Pro + is equipped with the Snapdragon 888 chip. This series will have three models, including Vivo X60, Vivo X60 Pro and Vivo X60 Pro +.
The new generation Samsung Exynos 1080 SoC adopts a 5nm process. It comes with a super core ARM Cortex-A78 up to 2.8 GHz, three large high-performance 2.6 GHz Cortex-A78 cores and four efficient 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 cores. As for the GPU, it uses the Mali-G78 GPU with 10 cores.
On the official teaser, you can see the details of the camera behind the Vivo X60 series. A microcap camera, two parallel lenses and a ToF lens. There is also information above that shows ZEISS Vario-Tessar 1.48-3.4 / 16-125 ASPH. According to reports, the Vivo X60 series will be officially launched on December 28. This device will also use a single-punch Samsung screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Vivo X60 Pro + to use a Snapdragon 888 SoC?
Some Vivo smartphones have recently received Chinese 3C certification. According to DigitalChatStation, the model numbers of these devices are V2046A, V2047A and V2059A and belong to the X60 series from Vivo. A new report claims that this series will come with a 33W fast charging pump. In addition, the flagship model, Vivo X60 Pro + will use the recently released Snapdragon 888 chip.
According to the report, the rest of the X60 series will use Samsung’s Exynos 1080 chip. They will come with the latest OriginOS interface and will use a single-hole straight center screen. This series will also come with a micro-panel lens at the cloud level in the back. Moreover, the camera department will have a 5-axis anti-shake VIS design.
According to reports, the X60 Pro + operating score is the highest of the Snapdragon 888 devices. However, these scores come from technical models and could change significantly in the final version. On Geekbench 5 you get 1135 points for single-core and 3681 points for multi-core.
