The Real Madrid superstar wants to leave after he became frustrated with Zidane

Reports now confirm that Isco Alarcon now wants to leave Real Madrid for the next winter transfer window due to lack of playing time.

Isco’s decline in Real Madrid’s last three seasons has been shocking. The former Malaga midfielder was once an undisputed starter at the club and even played a crucial role in the historic turmoil of the Los Blancos threats in the UEFA Champions League. However, since the 2018/19 season, the Spanish midfielder has shown signs of decline and has since regressed rapidly.

So far this season, the 28-year-old midfielder has just played eight matches in La Liga, which totals 308 minutes. This is a clear indicator that Isco has not been used much this season, however, Isco has failed to provide most of the opportunities presented to him by Zinedine Zidane so far this season. It’s like Rodrygo, the young man doesn’t start often, but he always takes advantage of every opportunity that Isco doesn’t take advantage of.

At the age of 28, Isco should play or at least start every match, as the Spaniard enters the first years of his career. However, his physical condition and work rate are extremely poor, which is one of the many reasons why Zidane did not offer the player much chance.

Zinedine Zidane himself also publicly acknowledged the lack of playing time that Isco has received so far this season:

Isco will be an important player, it is true that he does not play too much and I do not give him the opportunity to show the player that he is

Meanwhile, SPORT reports confirm that Isco wants to leave Real Madrid in this January transfer window. The Spanish midfielder has been linked with a move to the Premier League, and Everton is one of the few clubs that have been linked with the player.

So far, Real have not received any offers for their midfielder, however, the player is eager to leave the club in search of playing time. The Premier League and Serie A seem to be the two destinations that Isco could go to, as Everton and Juventus have been very interested.
