Actor Anupam Kher’s new book ‘Your Most Day Is Today’ has just been launched. In this book, written during the Corona period, he talks about the positive aspects of life. In a special conversation with Bhaskar, Anupam gave instructions on how to live life. Read the main body of the interview …

Q: During the Corona period, depression increased, people lost their jobs, business came to a standstill. Many actors have committed suicide in Bollywood. How can a person in such a situation create the worst situation in his life?

Answer: When I came to Mumbai from New York on March 20, I realized that an epidemic would affect our lives. I had never seen the roads of Mumbai like this. Never seen the airport. My friend Anil Kapoor said not to meet anyone 14 days ago. However, I am an optimistic person. But, I was surprised to see a ray of hope in it. What silver lining will appear behind the clouds. Then one day the cuckoo cuckoo and the birds chirped.

For the first time in years, when I lived in Mumbai, I felt that people were trapped and animals and birds seemed to be free. No matter what, you have to find positivity in life. I didn’t just reach this stage on the strength of my talent. My attitude also plays an important role in this. Never let an optimistic outlook fall. You have to have this attitude. No matter how bad the situation, we should look at the beam of light. He must find it.

Q: What did you find most positive about the entire Corona period?

Q: Man needs nothing but three things in his life. We run after mirages, no matter what. For example, we need expensive bags, dark glasses and expensive cars, but only three things were on everyone’s mind when the lockdown was announced. The first number somehow reaches out to your parents, wife and children. Number two is just to get the most important things. The third is to run WiFi so that the connection with the world is maintained.

This round has proved to be very positive for us. Talked to forgotten friends and relatives. Explore new hobbies and habits. I had a photo of X with 150 friends. I contacted 40 of them. Talked to them. Meditation combined. There are poses in life, which are desperately needed.

Q: What did you think of Sushant Singh Rajput during the shooting?

Answer: Sushant had a sense of wonder in his eyes. His charisma was also evident in his speech. He wanted to do a lot in life. I’m so sorry he’s gone now. They must have had many dreams. When we did the biopic of MS Dhoni, I saw how hard it was. Their lack will always remain.

Q: You are 65 years old. They are much more active than their peers, even coming to Hollywood. Is very ‘unique’ What do we do now?

Answer: The interval of life has just come. Your morale comes from within. I’m not trying to lie to myself. I take care of my health I am not afraid of failure. People usually stop at any stage of life to see if they succeed by doing something new. With this attitude we live as a normal one.

My father used to say a long time ago, ‘Failure is an event, not a person’. This means that human beings do not fail, the situation fails. An accident happens in one’s life. The other thing was that the easiest thing to do is to please anyone. I follow both things. No worries about losing anything. All of this together keeps me active. When you open your eyes every morning, thank God for opening your eyes. A new day has begun. Life is beautiful.

Q: Which lesson from your mother helped you the most in this age of corona? Tell me if there is a case in the book?

Answer: The title of the book is based on the education given by the mother. When we were little, my mother used to leave me and my brother Raju at the school gate for 15 minutes. Giving a lunch box to both of them, she used to say in Kashmiri, ‘Today is your best day’. Today is the best day of your life. So we were happy when we won or lost in school or drama. The rest of the mother has taught tolerance.

Q: When you were writing the book, what was your opinion about the state of the world caused by the corona virus?

Answer: Mankind was very angry at this work. We had forgotten that more animals and creatures live in it. You lost so much in your greed that no one else cared. In such a situation, this little virus taught us a lesson that we have to take care of others as well. You have to control your greed. When the sea churns, the poison also comes out with nectar. So, in the future, people will live with empathy. He will also think of others.
