GENEVA (Reuters) – A senior World Health Organization official said on Tuesday that the agency was in talks with Pfizer to include the COVID-19 vaccine as part of an early global launch.

Bruce Aylward, WHO’s chief adviser, said he saw a “strong commitment” from its CEO Albert Bourla to set prices at levels appropriate to poorer populations. He expected some news that more manufacturers would join the list of suppliers to the COVAX vaccination facility in the coming weeks, he added.
