Hemnath, the husband of the late actress Chithra, was arrested at midnight on Tuesday, after five consecutive days of investigation by police who grilled him because of his incoherent statements. More shocking details have surfaced about the tragic death of Chithra, who was hanged in a hotel room near Chennai on December 9th.
The police, after a long series of interrogations with Chithra’s parents, Hemnath’s parents, the actresses and her associate friends, more or less came to the conclusion that her husband pushed her to the limit with his irrational and careless behavior.
It turned out that Hemnath was not satisfied with the fact that Chithra acted in intimate scenes in the series and often, including the day of her death in a state of intoxication, went to the sets and fought with her. At the same time, hearing Chithra’s mother about Hemnath’s character also forced her to break up with him and cancel the planned wedding in February 2021, unaware that the couple had already registered their marriage in October.
Hemnath revealed in the police investigation that Chithra started building a new house in Thiruvanmiyur and that he bought an Audi luxury car earlier this year. She appears to have been shocked when the coronavirus pandemic forced the blockade for several months and the pressure of repaying the loans affected her.
The engagement of Chithra and Hemnath took place with close family members on both sides in August, and the actress dreamed of a great wedding to invite famous guests from the film and television industry. Hemnath was expected to share the huge expenses for which he was not, and he had fought with her in this regard as well.
It is said that Chithra’s last shot was Hemnath, who forced her to give up acting because she did not like the scenes with men playing her partner. Chithra, a few months ago, tried to commit suicide by consuming sleeping pills, but was treated in time and escaped death.
Unfortunately, the pressures exerted by the man she loved the family she cherished, the pandemic situation, the growing debts and, above all, the threat to her passion for acting, are said to have affected her heart and ultimately snatched life.
