Wisconsin hospital employee “intentionally” removes coronavirus vaccine from refrigerator refrigerated by FBI, FDA

Federal authorities are assisting Wisconsin police in investigating a hospital employee who was fired for deliberately breaking down 500 doses of the coronavirus vaccine.

An employee at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton admitted to intentionally removing 57 ampoules of the Moderna vaccine from the refrigerator earlier this week.

In a statement issued late Wednesday, Grafton police said the FBI and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are “actively” investigating the case with the department.

Attorney Aurora Health previously told Fox News in a statement that he was led to believe the incident was an accident. However, the employee “later admitted that he deliberately removed the vaccine from the refrigerator”.

Aurora said she fired the employee and referred the matter to authorities, who were notified late Wednesday night.
